For some reason I cant stand turn based RPG's.
That being said, I love this game!!!
Its got a great sotry, great graphics, fantastic gameplay.
Finally, a turn based RPG that I enjoy.
I've been reading on various message boards that this game is selling out at many stores. Anyone heard about or actually seen (or should I say not seen) this happening. I pre-ordered mine off Amazon, so I have it. But I think it's great if this is actually occurring. 360 needs a J-RPG to sell VERY well in this country to bring more to the system.
This game looks unbelievable. I really want this game and want it on my request list.
Just picked this up at Gamestop yesterday, Its my first turn based RPG and I love it. Im not very far in the game, which by the way is 4cd's long but the story seems really cool and the graphics are amazing.
I think that this is the third major J-RPG to come to the 360 and I think that this is supposed to be the best. I can't wait to get to it. How long is it? Are the acheivements as stingy as Blue Dragon?

taintedzodiac: The achievements are not as stingy, although the game is much more difficult than Blue Dragon was. The total length of the game is less than BD, from what I've seen of other people's play time for where they are in the game.

Sounds just about perfect for me. I was really bored with even the boss battles on Blue Dragon. I felt like I had grinded too much, because I was just waltzing past all of them. However, by the ended I was just waiting for it be over so I could never see it again. The only part about the ending that I thought was particularly great with the ending was how Kluke chose neither Shu or Jiro.
Speaking of Lost Odyssey, can someone please shoot whomever thought of the Treasure Trove achievement. I am sitting at 980 gamerscore on this game, and I checked off in the guide every treasure available. My gamerscore addiction drives me insane sometimes.
I remember the days when you bought a multi disk game you got a multi disk case. A flap to hold each disk. Damn cheapskates now, Lost Odyssey comes in a standard 360 case, they cram 3 disks on the main spindle and the 4th disk is floating a round in a paper sleeve. In the words of Peter Griffin that really "Grinds My Gears".
Great game though. This game oooooozes Final Fantasy. This is what those shoddy PS2 Final Fantasy's should have been.
I'm getting excited here. I've left the "Long Wait" behind and am currently at 89 turns to go. I can't wait to get this game!
This game is a lot of fun. It's the first RPG on the 360 thats managed to keep me playing. The only thing I don't like are the load times. They're absolutely ridiculous.

I don't really notice them. IMO the elevator or transit travel in Mass Effect is much more annoying.
Finally, the game is "in the mail" wahoo! I can't wait!

Much to my dismay
