Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that the new contest is up :) Automating this with the website means I have a lot more time to look for items to list but at the same time I have more people entering so the cutting of the names and the video part takes more time hehe. Well I could tell you but that would ruin the fun ^_^ Actually I do have plans for the next step so you should be seeing the implemented in the next couple of weeks. I'm doing all this as a good excuse to finally learn CSS web design as well as PHP/Javascript and other web-friendly coding languages that I really should have learned years ago :) Oh yes and I like drawing piggies and giving away games, so it all melts together rather nicely. Thanks for your support :)
But I do get a lot of personal satisfaction from my hobbies :) It does take me roughly 2-3 hours though to cut out all the names, make the video and then edit it. Actually, I realize the videos are pretty plain but there's something nice about that. In the future I would like to branch them out and make them more interesting (have the pig travel around with me) but working late shifts at work and doing the movies really, really late at night makes that difficult. It could very well happen though ^_^ Thanks for your comments and good luck!

Are you getting better response Goomba with your Contest site or when it was prior to your site?
Actually, believe it or not I'm getting a lot better response after having it on an actual website. I haven't yet had people chime in with their responses like I did in the past (I do miss hearing people's favorite games, comments, and such) but I can easily add that to the site in the future as I plan to have at least some sort of forum/community section on the site. I'm really using this as an experiment for a lot of other side projects that I have in mind and it's giving me a genuine excuse to:
1) Work on my HTML skills2) Learn CSS web design3) Learn PHP programming4) Use my digital camera for video-making5) Meet new people6) Get my feet wet with Google Adsenseetc.It's also helping me to clear out my shelves of excess games (of which I have way too many) and it's fun :)I think having usernames/passwords will make it even easier for people to re-enter in the future and will take out a lot of the hassle with most online contests. It's my way of giving back to the communities that have changed the way I play games (in particular Goozex and the CAG communities). I have a good time doing it and am glad people appreciate it. Good luck to you and all others!
I love what you're doing Goomba. Even though the video is simple (Not a putdown) it is very fun to watch, holding my breath to see if I won. Here's hoping I win that RE4 for Wii (fingers crossed).
But perhaps they'll get better eventually :) Most of it has to do with me getting home at like 4 in the morning and not really being able to go outside much to do videos because it's freezing cold all the time. That'll change soon enough with Spring around the corner and once I get more people interested in the site then I can have people help me do videos and stuff ^_^ But for now yes, the videos are simple and to the point. Still, glad you enjoy the contests. I just finished cutting out the names of all the entrants and so the Prize Piggy will be making his selection soon. Good luck!
