I am set on getting some sort of a Madden League going for peeps on the 360. I would be more than happy to set it up, but I just want to know how much interest there is in getting this kind of thing going. We might have to wait until late September or so just to get enough people who have copies of the game. However, since I am posting this on a trading site maybe no one is going to buy it and/or hold on to it for that long, but hey if you would like in or have any suggestions, just post here and let's see what we can get going on.
It's football, and it's Madden. There will be plenty of folk playing this and buying this at launch. It will be interesting to see how many Goozexers will be buying it, but I imagine that it will be enough to start up a league. You can count me out, though. I love me some NFL, but I'm going to sit out Madden this year. (That's what I say every year, but I end up picking it up mid-way through the season to play against friends.)

I’m in the same boat as Lurk, I don’t plan to buy the game but will put it in my request list here when I get it I’ll play online, although I have never liked playing Madden online because some people are crazy about the game and are way too good.

did they put back up the league website or is this just a league online from the xbox. I find that close to impossible to schedule. I remember madden had a league site in 2005 but haven't heard of any other online leagues.
That would be the only way I would get this game at a discount would be to play online in a league to cut out all the complaining kids.

There are tons and tons of discounted ways of picking this game up today, so there is no reason to pay full retail. Unless you love EA, of course. But take a look at all of the deals out there, and save yourself some money off whichever version y'all are gaming on.
My friend from work picked up the game today and brought it over. I think i made one completed pass during the wholr time we played. (don't like sports games - jumped into GHero 2 after 1st quarter )

Ok so I think that we have eight guys which will be a good place to start a tournament. I really want to go double elimination with five minutes. I am thinking that I will pick out of a hat for the seeding and those seeds will also be the order in which we decide who gets what teams. As soon as this one is over I would like to get going on another tournament or a robin-round type season. So before we get started I would like to get some confirmation from the following people and then we will get started. (Please just post a reply stating that you are in for sure.)
