For anyone who wasn't aware, the demo is now available on XBL and it looks awesome. Unfortunately, I was only able to play for about 10 minutes before getting severely motion sick from it.

Thanks for the notification about the demo. I'll have to dl it tonight. This game wasn't on my radar, but I have heard that it is surprisingly good. It is so strange how a ton of games are coming in under the gaming radar...it feels as if some of the professional reviewers don't even get to play them prior to release any more.

This game wasn't on my radar either, but I took the demo out for a spin anyhow. It reminded me a lot of Chili Con Carnage on the PSP minus the humor and in Hong Kong. When I got to the part where you can slide down the handrail and shoot I decided to add this to my Goozex request queue. I didn't get to much time with the demo (was sloooow downloading last night so I just used that auto shutoff feature) but I'm going to check it out some more when I get off from work in about... one minute now :)
Wonder how the multiplayer will be?

i have played the demo 1 1/2 times already. it is way more fun than i ever thought it would be. after you play through it the first time you can unlock another difficulty.
I just played played the Demo, so much fun. This may be a first day purchase. I just hope the game is not too short.

I loved this demo, and will probably get the game. I hope they add a multiplayer demo, that would be cool. The demo got boring after the 5th time i beat it.

I've played through the demo literally 30 times atleast. I've spent hours on it trying to do the coolest moves and stuff. My biggest combo was 34 stars. Which consisted of running down the rail shooting all of the signs and air conditioners and stuff down onto peoples heads, I proceeded tojump off the rail onto the cart wheel through the open market shooting the guys there and then jumping off the cart onto the other rail running up it and shooting all of the signs and airconditoners and such onto the others and getting off at the top 34 stars laters lol
I've been following this game since I found out about its conception and after playing the demo, I wasn't disappointed. A lot of over the top hollywood stuff which I found pretty comical. No reloads? Oh well, my R trigger is going to be worn out!
I take back what i said. playing it 5 times in one sittingdid make it a little boring. but I have now beaten it 19 times, and it is still fun. i am sad that it got pushed back to september 5th now I won't be able to play it all night the day it comes out

Heheheh,
I got to briefly test this game out at PAX and I came away smiling with the big pearly whites showing!
This game is awesome! The gameplay and shootouts are just flatout fun. Running up stairs on the railings while unloading clips was just epicness. It has a slow-down feature (whatever the game term for that is) like in F.E.A.R. to pop into slow mo and some epic slides, jumps, and manuvers while peppering people with your dual pistols. Good impression of Chow-Yun in the game.
Zero Buzz around this game, and also a tiny little demo booth, a shame, cause this game is gonna be fun.
P.S. - I can understand what timpysan said tho, hopping in and outta slow-mo and the quick shootouts can get your head spinning. But its a good spin at that.
I know that this discussion thread is for the 360 version of Stranglehold, but us PS3 owners are going to be thrilled with the Blu-Ray PS3 version which will include the movie Hard Boiled. I am not sure that it is going to be the HD version, but this is incentive enough to wear out my PS3 controllers.
I'll hold my yes/no till I can grab this on GameFly, but I wasn't overly impressed. I liked the feel of the moves and the ability to use the environment. They've put a great deal of solid moments into every area. Being a long time Max Payne fan (one of the best PC games ever) I have a prejudice, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
I got the game on wednesday, and i am in love. it is everything i hoped it would be. the only problems are with the multiplayer. you cannot join a game in progress, so it can be hard to get into a game. Also, a 1 vs 1 game ends up being one sided most of the time, any more players makes it a nice challenge.
