This game is basically Pokemon with the turn-based battles turned into real-time funfests and the collecting aspect turned into collecting parts for your robo. The real-time combat is quite fun and challenging; different customizations play pretty differently in the battles so there's a never-ending quest to make the perfect robo for your style of fights. Although I didn't get far enough in the game to know, I've seen comments that a few weapons obsolete many of the others, so that's something to keep in mind. Still I think there's plenty of customization fun to have.

The major downside, and the reason I stopped playing, is that the frame the game puts around its chewy Pokemon core is really hard to bear. Every morning you wake up and talk to your parents and sister about the day ahead. Then you go to school (thankfully they don't make you sit through that!). After school you get a few hours to run around and challenge others to duels etc but eventually its time to go home, eat dinner, chat with your family some more, and go to bed. Rinse, repeat. At first the structure felt like a quirky conceit that was merely a little annoying; after a few days of it I had had enough. The rest of the "story" doesn't help, being little more than an excuse to battle others, and your fellow battlers are annoyingly talkative, slowing the game down even more.

If you're interested in the game at all, I recommend giving it a try to see if you can get through the annoying bits. Perhaps they won't bother you as much or at all. If so, the battles and customization bits are a lot of fun and should give you many happy hours.
